how to transfer a domain?
I am the former administrative contact for a domain that was involved in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February 2011. It was purchased on October 11, 2011 from the estate of its bankrupt owner and the U.S. Bankruptcy trustee has ordered its transfer from the prior owner to a new owner.
I have copies of the legal order and purchase-and-sale agreements and would be happoy to provide them to Yahoo, but as I am unable to manage this domain online — or to reach Yahoo domain or small business support by phone or email.
How should I proceed?
Please email us at domains-support@cc.yahoo-inc.com with as much information as you can provide about your domain and we will be happy to help with your transfer.
I just had a similar issue with my domain transfer (not Yahoo), went to go daddy and initiated my transfer through them. You might need to get a permission code from the outgoing domain administrator to give to the new domain adminstrator, but go daddy.com started the transfer and sent request for transfer to the old administrator (which you will give to godaddy, yahoo as the old domain administrator). It took me a couple weeks to have the domain transfer to godaddy. Who ever the new admin is can probably initiate the request for transfer.
Just have patience because the communication between the two administrators can be a wait.
Good Luck hope this helps some.
