I absolutely agree and the financial institutions receiving any bail out dollars should be investigated and brought up on charges for fraudulent practices. They made mega millions of dollars at the borrowers expense and are being rewarded through the taxpayers expense.

It's despicable.

Nope, I don't agree... something stinks as usual and it clearly doesn't pass the smell test. Do you trust and confide in our Government's plan? What is their plan?

I think the Government and these banks were padding each others wallets and something went wrong. I don't believe or trust anything they're saying to us. They are borrowing OUR money which they expect us to pay for THEIR mistakes. How is this money ever going to get repaid correctly??? Is their interest attached to this? Who's going to profit? Are these banks going to be punished or is it going to be business as usual? This is going to be a big cluster.... We have made history!!! OUR country will never be the same for generations and generations to come. 7 trillion dollars debt!!!!!! Are you fricken kidding me?

Why don't we charge IRAQ their bills to rebuild their sorry a$$ go forsaken country instead of hoofing the bill? Why don't we DRILL baby drill right there in their country and take their oil from them!!!!! They owe us bigtime. Watch and see, we will rebuild IRAQ and they will surpass us in the next decade economically while they sit and watch the USA fall apart from the inside out!!!

Somebody has definately had their hand in the cookie jar and will have their hands all over this 7 trillion as well. WE should start questioning government because all they have done over the years is lied to us, and this is no exception. This is like always with politicans another scam.

Oh I thought we were going to do the whole partisan finger-pointing today to get your boy elected. Well if you really want to make a difference you should be writing emails to your congressional representatives in the House and Senate.

In my opinion neither side should be bailed out. Homeowners who decided to live above their means and buy a house they could not afford, gambling that the interest rate would stay low or the idiot banks that made the very risky (doomed to fail) loan in the first place. Everybody made their bed and they should now sleep in it. Where is personal accountability?

Having said that we both know that a bailout is inevitable or our economy will tank and with it the worlds economy... Regular folks like myself who live in a reasonable home that I can afford are the victims.

By the way any fraud that happened along the way should of course be investigated.
